Attached is the forecast for launch and flight conditions for September 9. The high altitude winds are still blowing toward the southwest causing the flight to be terminated before it reaches a no-fly zone in Arizona. Thus, the predicted flight duration is only 11 hours with only 0.1 hours of night. Therefore, we have called off the launch for Wednesday September 8. Low level winds remain reasonable for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Thursday is a possible launch day and we will be reviewing this possibility in detail tomorrow. Friday looks like a real possibility with more westerly high altitude winds and a predicted 13 hour float time.
Cheers, Greg Guzik
