ACES had a successful balloon launch of three student
payloads at 08:05 am CDT on Wednesday, 5/23/06 from the National
Scientific Balloon Facility (NSBF) in Palestine Texas. |

The balloon reached 108,938 feet before bursting at 12:18 CDT and was
recovered about a half hour after landing in a pasture 60 miles from the
launch site.
Preliminary results from the ACES-04 flight are shown
below. The flight path, as provided by the tracking group, is
shown along with detail maps of liftoff and touchdown. Also shown is a
plot of the altitude profile for the flight. |
