John P. Wefel and Program Manager
Karen Johnson, who also provide program management for the Louisiana
Space Grant program, conduct program Management of the EPSCoR project at LSU.
This team, along with Jim Gershey of the Board of Regents, will also conduct
the selection of participants for the opportunities provided in the Core
Infrastructure Component. Wefel is a member of the state EPSCoR committee,
which operates under the aegis of the Louisiana Board of Regents. Members of
State government, particularly from the State Department of Economic
Development, join others as members of the NASA EPSCoR
TAC, and the management team includes the Louisiana Technology Transfer
Office (which is closely coordinated with Stennis Space Center). The Board of
Regents acts as fiscal agent for the NASA agreement just as in the "original"
NASA EPSCoR cooperative agreement.
